It may have originated in England, but Asia is the hottest place in the world for Badminton and this week the 50 Sports team travel to Taiwan’s capital to learn from the world’s best and then see them all go head to head for the prestigious 2015 title.
Our official hosts are the World Badminton Federation and with the meticulous effort that goes into organising these championships it’s easy to see why Badminton is amongst the world’s most-popular participation sport, second only to Soccer.
Since 1992 this has been a hard fought Olympic sport and remains the only one where mixed doubles compete for Gold, so you can be sure Jacqui and Paul, maybe even little Ben will team up to try their hand at this super-fast and skilful game.
